MODOLOGY — AI Photocall

Paris Haussmann — Printemps

— An AI-powered fashion photocall transforming the Printemps Haussmann storefront into an interactive stage where passersby discover their style across a century of fashion.

Presented in the exterior window of Printemps Haussmann in Paris, the MODOLOGY AI Photocall was developed as part of the “Modology” campaign celebrating fashion culture. Installed for one month and accessible directly from the street, the experience invited passersby to engage with the storefront and step into the creative universe of the campaign.

Visitors stand in front of the window and capture their portrait through the installation. Using gesture interaction, the system tracks their hands, allowing them to interact without touching any interface. Inspired by the mechanics of a slot machine, the installation randomly selects a fashion identity drawn from more than a century of styles, from historical references to futuristic and editorial looks, instantly revealing the generated result across the storefront.

We designed the installation as a playful and highly visible street experience that blends fashion imagery with interactive media. By combining editorial photography aesthetics with generative AI, the project transforms the window display into a living fashion portrait studio, inviting visitors to see themselves through multiple stylistic identities.

The generated looks were created using AI workflows based on Midjourney and Runway, producing animated fashion portraits spanning over a hundred years of stylistic references. The interactive application was developed as a web-based system running locally, using MediaPipe body tracking to detect hand gestures and enable touch-free interaction. The final experience was displayed on a large LED screen exceeding five meters in width, turning the storefront into a dynamic digital stage.
